Catching up, - again
Now another week passed, too fast. I have spent too little time creating connections and converting connections into valuable relations. I have had a few comments and reactions on my participation, but I still feel ‘alone’.
My new strategi will be
- to give more and take less
- write more read less
- follow up on connections
- follow up on cck08forcredit-group
- be brave
How are you doing with your connected learning? Are your connections growing into valuable relations? What did you do?
I have an assignment and some cMap postings to manage today. From the forcredit-group I heard that I’m not the only one doing a late job. But I think it’s positive to make assignments to keep things going, focusing on your own thoughts, although it’s difficult to fit it into my “NewDaily”
According to cMapping: It’s beginning to work for me, after some technical problems. It’s giving a lot to my learning proces, though it costs on timespending, an investment not so well scheduled on days where timeaccount is low. I think ROI is positive!

I like very much your strategy, Jørgen. I like it except, perhaps, follow up on cck08forcredit-group. In my view they are the less interesting ones, being in part interested to do homework to get credits.
I’m mostly interested in those that try to share their experiences. Those that, feeling the inadequacy of conventional teaching and existing theoretical frameworks, see in the ideas of connectivism an opportunity. Those that try to improve and share their experiences.
Trying to cope with quantity and having to work with my students I’m obliged to make a selection.
I devote very little time to the most hot discussions on theory. They often degenerate in a context were nobody can demonstrate anything. A waste of time in my situation.

Hi Andreas,
. But you might be right about the forcredit-group. Maybe they don’t have much in common but ‘doing their homework’. I’m just searching for ways to connect and develop relations of value.
I take this course for credit. I think it helps me keep up the good spirit in hard times: When I have paid for something I want to get ‘value for the money’
The assignments help me/forces me to do some writing, to skip my displacement activity and overcome my procrastination. But homework it is, you’re right!
I’m seeking support for thinking teaching in other frameworks than the conventional in this course, too. One important subject is about teachers collaboration around their work with students. Sharing/not sharing!
Are you working in a well functioning team in your job? Did you establish valuable connections in this course?
I didn’t realise the waste of time. A lot of discussions seems important, but in fact lurking create confusion if you don’t spend time making up your own mind.
